Veneers

No one likes living with stained, chipped, or gapped teeth.

The cosmetic dentists at the Center for Dentistry in Aiken, SC, use porcelain veneers to help our patients achieve more attractive smiles.

Why is this such a popular cosmetic option?

The Benefits

Easy Procedure

After an initial consultation, applying fully customized veneers can typically be completed in just two office visits.

Natural Appearance

These restorations are made from high-quality dental porcelain that looks virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Durable Materials

The materials used in dental veneers are durable enough to endure normal daily functions with a minimal risk of them breaking or becoming detached.

A Closer Look

These restorations consist of ultra-thin, customized porcelain. Dr. Leah Wilkins or Dr. Talmadge Wilkins will attach them in a simple, comfortable procedure that usually requires just two appointments. Dental veneers can be a great option for patients who want to obscure surface-level cosmetic imperfections quickly and effectively.

Treatment Timeline

If you think porcelain veneers might be the right solution for your cosmetic needs, request a consultation with our accomplished dentists at the Center for Dentistry in Aiken, SC. Tooth Preparation

Your dentist begins the process of placing dental veneers by removing a small amount of enamel from each tooth that will receive a veneer. This keeps the restoration flush with surrounding teeth, avoiding a bulky look. Once the preparation is complete, we will take impressions.

Veneer Placement

You will return for a second appointment in about two weeks when the veneers are ready for placement. Our doctors will place your custom-made veneers onto your teeth and secure them with dental cement.

Bonding

Our doctors will use a special light to make the dental cement harden quickly. Once the adhesive is fully cured, your porcelain veneer will have all of the functionality of a regular tooth.

Smile!

After your porcelain veneer appointment, you will leave our dental office in Aiken, SC, with a bright, consistent, healthy-looking smile. No one will be able to tell your restorations from your natural teeth!

Are Veneers Always the Solution?

Though veneers are often a good option for patients who have slight misalignment or minor damage, veneers aren't always the best treatment option. Our dentists will only recommend veneers if they're certain the treatment will conceal your dental flaws and benefit you. If veneers aren't right for you, our dentists may recommend other solutions, such as:

Orthodontics

Though a veneer can conceal a small gap or slightly misaligned tooth, orthodontics may be a better, longer-lasting solution for more pronounced cases. Our Aiken office offers traditional braces, clear ceramic braces, and ClearCorrect® aligners.

Dental Crowns

If the damage to your tooth is severe and causing you trouble when eating and speaking, our dentists may recommend a dental crown instead. We offer this dental solution to restore the appearance and functionality of teeth.
