"I was immediately put to ease and reassured that I was in the best hands"
As is frequently the case with unscheduled dental problems, I had a large old filling and part of the tooth come out when I bit on a hard nut on a Friday when the office was closed. Thank goodness there was not pain associated with this mishap. After the initial and subsequent appointments my crown fits perfectly and I have no problems with that tooth. Dr. Talmadge Wilkins and Judy, his assistant, were both so good in explaining the process in prepping for and setting the crown. My questions were answered before I asked. Thank you Center for Dentistry for yet another great visit.
View on GoogleI was so impressed with the professional service I received. For the first time ever, the procedure was completely painless - and it was a root canal! I appreciated Dr Wilkens explaining what he was doing and why. I would recommend this practice without hesitation. My second visit was just as professional as the first. Crowns are made in house and the fit was perfect. Thanks Dr. Wilkens and staff!

"...these are great people you can trust with your smile."
Love the staff and the care and professionalism they provided during my visits. I feel I am in very capable hands at Center for Dentistry. Best and most thorough dental cleaning and exam I ever had. Bravo.
View on GoogleBEST dental cleaning I’ve ever had and I’m nearly 60! I’ve had regular dental care my entire life and lived in three states. From start to finish, Sage explained each procedure then performed it deftly. She’s young, but oh so professional & skilled. Entire office staff was professional & welcoming. Dr. Leah Wilkins gave an excellent first assessment of my current dental work & I feel comfortable in her care. Missing several teeth from birth & having bridges that are solid, but 40 years old, I’m experienced with & picky about my dental care. Soooo happy I found Dr. Wilkins & her team❣️

Our Featured Procedures
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cracked, chipped, and stained teeth can detract from the appearance of your smile, and have a negative effect on your self-esteem. If you are self-conscious about the aesthetics of your teeth, call our Aiken, SC, dental office to learn about your treatment options. Our dentists can discuss a number of cosmetic procedures that will enhance your teeth and have you taking pride in your smile.
Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry is designed to repair dental issues and quite literally restore the function of your teeth. We have the knowledge and tools to correct damaged, infected, and missing teeth allowing you to once again eat the foods you like, speak with confidence, and experience relief from dental pain. When you attend your biannual dentist's appointment, we will be able to check for any conditions and take preventative measures to ensure long-lasting oral health.
Dental Implants
A missing tooth or teeth can affect your health more than you might think. If left untreated, a gap in your smile can cause bone degeneration and further tooth loss. Dental implants are considered the gold standard in restorative dentistry and the next best thing to real teeth. During the procedure, titanium implant posts are inserted in the jaw, stimulating the tissue and preventing future bone recession. These implants act as the foundation for a custom-made prosthetic that will look and feel just like your natural teeth.
Dental Crowns
A tooth that has been compromised due to trauma or decay can be restored with a dental crown. After treating the cause of the damage, our Aiken dentists can repair and protect your tooth by securing a custom dental crown. Crowns can prevent the spread of infection and the need for extraction in the future. Made from high-quality composite materials, we will match your restoration to your natural shade of tooth enamel for a seamless finished product.
Porcelain Veneers
Patients at our Aiken, SC, dental office who are unhappy with the appearance of their teeth may benefit from the ultra-thin, custom-made porcelain veneers. Cracked, chipped, or slightly crooked teeth can cause your smile to appear unhealthy and can undermine your self-confidence. Veneers can conceal a wide range of dental imperfections with a long-lasting, highly realistic porcelain shell bonded to the front surface of your teeth.
Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea occurs when your body does not receive enough oxygen while you sleep. The condition inhibits your ability to rest and will negatively affect your physical health and mental wellbeing. We can recommend several different therapies to address sleep apnea including oral appliances and CPAP machines. If you know or suspect you suffer from sleep apnea, seek help at our Aiken, SC, office as soon as possible to restore your quality of life.

Cone-Beam CT Scanner
The cone-beam CT scanner has revolutionized the field of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. In the past, the dentist would take messy impressions and 2-D x-rays to prepare for your dental procedure. Now, with the cone-beam scanner, we can take panoramic virtual images of your mouth to aid in root canals, dental implants, and other procedures. This CT scanner makes dental work easier, more accurate, and lowers your chance of complications.
Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing
Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing software improves the process of prosthodontics and crafting restorations such as crowns, veneers, and dental implants. The technology allows the dentist to take a virtual scan of your teeth to precisely design your restoration in a fast streamlined procedure. With the chairside design program, you can watch as the dentist creates your custom crown or veneer before your very eyes.
CAD-CAM
We have the ability to fabricate our own crowns and veneers in one day. After creating a 3-D blueprint for your restoration with our CAD-CAM software, the design is sent to a machine which will manufacture the prosthetic in under an hour. The beautiful ceramic restoration is designed to match your natural shade of tooth enamel, for stunning, durable, results.
