The Center for Dentistry is a comprehensive, patient-centered, full-service dental office located in Aiken, South Carolina. While many dental offices treat patients on a tooth-by-tooth basis, we realize that each individual is unique, each with his or her own set of goals, life circumstances, values, opinions, and different needs and wants. Care should be personalized. We recognize open communication as the foundation of a relationship between the patient and the dental team. This creates a high level of trust and confidence in which the ultimate outcome is not only successful but is filled with gratitude from both sides of the dental chair.
We take great pride in our team’s commitment to a high level of continuing education on an on-going basis. We aim to be the most technologically advanced dental practice in our area. We have a cone-beam CT scanner in our office that we use for all of our endodontic procedures (root canals) and placement of dental implants. We have the ability to fabricate our own crowns in one day in our office using our CAD-CAM technology. We screen for and treat sleep breathing disorders, such as sleep apnea, and work closely with our patients’ physicians to achieve an optimal outcome. These approaches enable us to partner with our patients to ensure excellent communication and quality throughout treatment which in turn promotes optimal health.

Leah B. Wilkins, DMD
Leah B. Wilkins, DMD, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wofford College in 2001. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2005. She then returned to her hometown of Edgefield, SC and practiced with her father, Dr. Ransom L. Bryan, Jr. for ten years. Dr. Leah has been active in the South Carolina Dental Association serving as the past president of the Central District and has served the last five years as a delegate to the House of Delegates, the governing body for dentists in this state. In 2016, Dr. Leah was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Fellowship is by invitation and is limited to ethical dentists who have made a contribution to their profession and community. Dr. Leah is passionate about her volunteer work. In addition to chairing events at her children’s school, she has served as a screener in area elementary schools where she worked side by side with DHEC employees to assess and report the needs of kindergartners and third graders. She currently participates in the Donated Dental Services program. This program provides free, comprehensive dental treatment to our most vulnerable people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile. Dr. Leah’s most recent professional accomplishment was completing the Essentials Continuum at the LD Pankey Institute, an advanced dental education center which focuses on technical proficiency and the behavioral component of dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Leah enjoys spending time with her children and two dogs and is an avid Crossfitter.
Talmadge D. Wilkins IV, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Talmadge D. Wilkins IV received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dentistry in 2004. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Wilkins completed a general practice residency and training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, now Augusta University. He is also a graduate of the Executive Management program at Northwestern University in Chicago. In addition, Dr. Wilkins is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and holds memberships in numerous professional dental associations. He is currently an accreditation candidate in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry which acknowledges excellence in this field.
