LEAH B. WILKINS, DMD
Leah B. Wilkins, DMD, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wofford College in 2001. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2005. She then returned to her hometown of Edgefield, SC and practiced with her father, Dr. Ransom L. Bryan, Jr. for ten years. Leah has been active in the South Carolina Dental Association. She is the past president of the Central District Dental Society and currently serves on their Nominations Committee. Additionally, she has served the last five years as a delegate to the House of Delegates, the governing body from dentists in this state. In 2016, Leah was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Fellowship is by invitation and is limited to ethical dentists who have made a contribution to their profession and community. Leah is passionate about her volunteer work. She serves as a screener in area elementary schools where she works side by side with DHEC employees to assess and report the needs of kindergartners and third graders. She also participates in the Donated Dental Services program. This program provides free, comprehensive dental treatment to our most vulnerable people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile. She is currently in the process of completing her continuum at the LD Pankey Institute in Florida where the focus is on providing individualized, comprehensive dentistry for patients. In her free time, Leah also volunteers at her children’s school and is an avid Crossfitter.
TALMADGE D. WILKINS IV, DMD, FAGD
Talmadge D. Wilkins IV, DMD, FAGD is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dentistry. Before studying dentistry, he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University. At WVU, Dr. Wilkins was a member of its rifle team where he won four NCAA National Championships and earned six All-American honors. During this time, he was also a member of the US Shooting National Team. While he won many national honors, his highest accolade was winning a gold and silver medal for the United States in the 1994 World Championships in Milan, Italy.
After dental school, Dr. Wilkins completed a general practice residency followed by training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, now Augusta University. He is the former Assistant Director of the Medical College of Georgia’s General Practice Residency. Dr. Wilkins has also graduated from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management Executive Management Program.
He is also an alumnus of the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute where he focused his studies in Advanced Restorative Dental Treatment, Complex Occlusion (Bite) Problems, TMJ Syndromes and Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and Aesthetics. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of The Pankey Institute and serves in various other capacities at the Institute.
Dr. Wilkins has achieved the status as a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry which entailed taking 500 hours of additional continuing education, five years of membership meeting the yearly continuing education requirements and then passing a rigorous 8-hour exam. Dr. Wilkins achieved this award in only six years after graduating from dental school. He also has achieved a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, Mastership- in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.
In 2015, Dr. Wilkins was chosen as one of the top 40 dentists nationally from Incisal Edge Magazine,”40 under 40”, where he was recognized as a leader in the dental field. The dentists were nominated by dental industry experts and vetted by an independent panel, which represented the best of dentistry today, and the promise of even better dentistry for tomorrow.
He is also involved in his profession. Dr. Wilkins has served as a delegate and Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee for the South Carolina Dental Association. Dr. Wilkins has been a key opinion leader (KOL) for PlanMeca Corporation which focuses on CAD CAM dentistry and utilization of CT Scans in dental practice. In the community, he serves as the team dentist for the USC-Aiken Pacer athletics, and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.

In his free time, Dr. Wilkins enjoys skiing, hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his wife, Leah, two children, Witt and Loren Ann, and their dogs, Millie (Golden Retriever) and Trump (Silver Labrador Retriever).

Jena has been a team member since 2014. She is a graduate of USC Aiken and is married to her high school sweetheart. She has two Labrador retrievers that she adores. In her free time she enjoys painting, gardening and spending time at the beach.

Bailey was born and raised in Aiken. She graduated from the dental assisting program at Aiken Technical College in 2018. Patients are also likely to see Bailey at the front desk as she facilitates the transition to other parts of the office. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.
Melanie has been a practicing registered dental hygienist since graduating from Armstrong State College in 1988. She practiced in both periodontal and general dentistry offices in the Savannah, Georgia area until moving to Aiken in 2015. She has three children and two grandchildren. Melanie is a fantastic cook, an avid reader and enjoys spending time on the water.
Laurel graduated from Midlands Technical College in 2016 and came to Center For Dentistry shortly after as a dental hygienist. Her passion is helping people and working with the public. When she is not with her patients, she can be found gardening or hiking with her husband and her three year old daughter.
Chris moved to South Carolina from Seattle, Washington in 2018. She came into the practice as a new patient and met Dr. Leah. During her appointment she disclosed that she was a certified dental assistant. It was meant to be! Center For Dentistry was looking for another skilled team member. In her free time, Chris enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, sons and her Boxer, Zeus.
Judy is an Aiken native and has been a certified dental assistant for over twenty years. Her kind heart and calmness endear her to many patients. In her free time she can be found procuring beautiful jewelry.
Brooke moved to North Augusta from Greenville, SC, in 2020. She has been a certified Dental Assistant since 2007 and is also a certified Surgical Technician, and Breastfeeding Specialist. Brooke is passionate about helping patients through their treatment from start to finish and celebrating new smiles. During her free time she enjoys spending time on the lake and traveling with her five children.
